FAQs & Useful Guide to your Lanzarote Holiday Villa



Travel from Arrecife airport.

Airport transfers
We’re more than happy to arrange an airport transfer for you. We have access to very reasonable rates, please email guests@villasnow.com for more information and to book your personal transfer.

By Taxi
Available from just outside the airport and currently, (Spring 2023) costs approximately 50 euros for a standard car for 4 people. 

By Car
When you leave the airport, follow the LZ-2 south, signposted Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. Continue to follow the LZ-2 as you pass the signs for Puerto del Carmen and on through Tias, Mácher, Uga, passing around the outskirts of Yaiza and finally into Playa Blanca.

It’s worth noting that just after the turn-off for Tías, the road will split into two, move over into the left-hand lane, signposted for Yaiza. The journey should take around 40 minutes.

By Bus
There is a regular bus service between the airport and Playa Blanca. You will need to get on bus route 161 / 261, click here for the timetable.
Monday and Friday, buses usually run from the airport every 30 minutes from 7.30 am to 10.30pm. Please note that a reduced timetable tends to run at the weekend and public holidays. We very much recommend that you check the timetable prior to your arrival. 

Your journey should take approx. one hour.


Can you help me hire a car?

We have agreements with local care hire organisations.
We’re more than happy to arrange for a vehicle of your choice to be waiting for you when you arrive at the Arrecife airport in Lanzarote along with the company representative. To book car hire please contact guests@villasnow.com

Checking into my Lanzarote Holiday Villa.

Following your booking you will be sent an email linking to our online check-in – all guests are now required to follow this process.

Prior to your arrival and following the successful completion of your check-in email,  you’ll be sent detailed information with everything you need to know about checking into your villa, we’ve even included directions too! 

Check-in and Check-out times.

You can check in to your villa anytime from 4 pm on your day of arrival.
Check-out is before 10 am on your day of departure.

Should you arrive a little earlier than our agreed check-in, you are welcome to make your way to your Villa. If the cleaning and housekeeping team are in the villa or they have yet to visit and clean your holiday villa, please feel free to leave your luggage, at your own risk, within the property. We ask that you then leave the property and return when your villa clean has been completed and the housekeeping team have vacated.
Should you choose to do the above option, please ensure that you do not take the Villa key with you until after the check-in time of 4pm. Please leave the keys in the secure key box as per your arrival email. Please do not bring any food to store in the cupboards or fridge/freezer until after our housekeeping team have finished. 


Can I arrange a late checkout and/or can I store my luggage safely?

If you have an early arrival or a late departure flight we have secure luggage storage available. A late checkout on your day of departure may also be possible. Please speak to our Guest Relations team when you arrive and/or at your Welcome visit. 


About your Playa Blanca Holiday Villa.

In most of our villas, you will find a VillasNow ‘Welcome pack’ which includes; tea, coffee, milk and sugar, water, orange juice, some tasty biscuits, and a bottle of wine! 

Cot’s and high chairs are available to hire and can be ready in your villa when you arrive. Please let us know when booking. 

All towels, including pool towels, are included.

Housekeeping service. For those staying with us 12 nights or over, fresh linen and towels and a light cleaning of your villa are included. not in all villas

Air Conditioning is available in the majority of our Villas and is coin-operated.

Almost all of our villas are alarmed and some are equipped with a safety deposit box. 

Lanzarote does not operate a weekly rubbish collection. Household rubbish and recycling need to be taken to one of the readily available roadside bins which are emptied daily. 

We regularly maintain and clean all of our Villa pools. If your pool is scheduled to be cleaned – you will find further details with the villa.

TV’s with our Villas Nows holiday villas have a majority of local and international channels including many of your home favourites. For more information on how to operate your TV please refer to your VillasNow tablet – property guides. 


Your VillasNow Tablet

Inside your holiday villa, you will find a VillasNow tablet which contains lots of useful information about Playa Blanca including excursions, things to do, and dining out.
We’ve also included videos of how to use your TV, set your alarm, etc., and important information on who and how to contact us should you need anything during your stay. Members of the VillasNow team are based in Playa Blanca and are on hand if needed.

Welcome visit.

A member of our Guest Relations team aims to come and say hello the day following your arrival.
Our VillasNow Guest Relations team all live in Lanzarote and have done for many years. A fabulous source of knowledge about the Island, our team knows the best excursions and adventures to suit any age and budget!
